ABOUT US
Fergal O’Brien Racing is a National Hunt horse racing training establishment located in the heart of the Cotswolds with a state of the art training facility currently comprising 86 stables, both an uphill and a round gallop and an all weather schooling strip. On site there is also an owners’ room, the racing office and 8 en suite bedrooms for staff accommodation.
We were the 18th National Hunt training establishment ever to reach 100 winners in a season and have surpassed that mark for three consecutive seasons now. We currently have a fantastic team of staff all fully dedicated to the care of our horses. Our ongoing aim is to ensure the horses are well fed, happy and fit in order to give them the best possible chance of success on the racecourses. It is also important to us that owners are part of the entire journey and are welcome to visit us frequently
We have enjoyed much success since making the move to our permanent home here at Ravenswell Farm. We aim to continue on that upward trajectory.

FARM
Our home at Ravenswell Farm boasts top of the line facilities and near perfect views.
Having only been completed in 2019 the facilities are some of the finest in the UK and were installed under the supervision and recommendations of two of our top trainers; Fergal and Sally.
We are very proud of our home, and offer you to take tour of the farm to get a real feel of the services.
FERGAL O'BRIEN
LEADING RACEHORSE TRAINER
Fergal has been involved in racing for all of his working life since leaving his beloved Ireland in 1989 to head to England in pursuit of a career in the National Hunt field.
He, along with his still friends, Richard Bevis and Richard Curran, initially learnt their trade, and with it the harsh realities of a racing yard, under the strict guidance of 'Captain' Tim Forster OBE and this early experience proved to be a major asset in Fergal’s own journey into horse training.
