Welcome to Fergal O'Brien Racing where you can find out more about one of National Hunt's newest trainers, the most wonderful facilities at Cilldara Stud and of course the Horses that Fergal and his talented team currently have in training.

Fergal O’ Brien has embarked on a new career as a fully-fledged trainer, having spent the past 19 years as Head Lad at the hugely successful Nigel Twiston-Davies yard, where Big Race wins included 2 Grand National winners (Earth Summit and Bindaree) and a recent Cheltenham Gold Cup winner (Imperial Commander). For the last 4 seasons Fergal has been the Champion Point-to-Point Trainer in the West Midlands area and, at last year's  Cheltenham Hunter Chase  Meeting, he achieved his first double at National Hunt's premier racecourse.

Fergal’s landlord at the new stables at Cilldara is the well-known jump jockey, Timmy Murphy, whose little boy, Lucas, is Fergal’s godson. Timmy is a Grand National winning jockey who has ridden over 1,000 winners. The facilities at Cilldara are first-class and there is huge potential for further development as the business continues to grow.
